Shri Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister Nagaland launched the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme, a World Bank supported Central Sector Scheme of Government of India at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly as the Chief Guest on 27th August 2024.
The Scheme is designed to address several critical areas essential for strengthening the MSME sector of the state. The key interventions of the scheme are to enhance firm capabilities through capacity building programmes, promoting Make in Nagaland products which will help in substituting imports from outside the state, improve energy efficiency through competitiveness support and green finance initiatives, enhancing access to finance and market through interactions between field level experts, entrepreneurs and enterprises, institutional strengthening through various Management Development Programmes (MDP) and trainings as well as innovative interventions like Banker facilitation cell.
Through these interventions, the Government of Nagaland aims to significantly grow the MSME Sector in Nagaland and boost entrepreneurs to scale up their businesses.
