What is NHHDC?
The Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. (NHHDC) is a Government of Nagaland undertaking established in 1979 to promote and develop traditional handloom and handicraft products unique to the state.
What does NHHDC do?
Support Nagaland’s traditional artisans by:
- Production of handloom and handicraft goods at its Dimapur centers
- Market products under the brand “Meraki Nagaland” through social media and sales outlets
- Supply raw materials to weavers/artisans and buys back finished products for sale
- Organize fairs & exhibitions to promote artisans and educate them on market trends
- Sustain Nagaland’s craft heritage while boosting rural livelihoods
- Dyeing Centre sustainably dyes yarn, fabrics, and goat and yak hair to produce high-quality materials that support traditional crafts and local livelihoods.
