1). SHORT TERM TRAINING:-
i. SELF EMPLOYMENT TRAINING UNDER NORTH EAST RURAL LIVELIHOOD PROJECT (NERLP):
The North East Livelihood Promotion Society, Guwahati in association with Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, Dimapur have conducted 6 (six) months Skill Building for Unemployed Youths of Project Districts under NERLP for Self Employment sponsored by North East Rural Livelihood Project under Ministry of DoNER, Govt. of India. The training was conducted from 31 March 2015 to 30 Sept. 2015.

Altogether 20 youths (from Peren & Tuensang District) were trained under Welding Fabrication where 9 (Nine) trainees were given guidance for setting up of their own Fabrication Unit, 5 (Five) were given placement at NTTC, Dimapur and 6 (six) has opted for Self Employment.

ii. MODULAR EMPLOYABLE SKILLS (MES) COURSE UNDER DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (SDI) SCHEME
Altogether 20 youths has undergone Desktop Publishing (DTP) and Soft & Entrepreneurship Skills (SES) training on Modular Employable Skills (MES) course under Skill Development Initiative (SDI) Scheme sponsored by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. of India. The training was conducted from 23 June 2015 to 13 Nov. 2015 at NTTC, Dimapur and assessments were conducted by Assessing Body from Virtual Education Trust, New Delhi on 16 Nov. 2015. 19 trainees successfully passed the Assessment and Certificates were awarded by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

ADVANCED MACHINING COURSE (KPA, ZUNHEBOTO)
Advanced Machining Course was conducted for 28 students of final year Diploma in Mechanical engg. and another group comprised of 08 students final year Diploma in Automobile engg. of Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu, Zunheboto at Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, Dimapur during 04 Jan. 2016 to 16 Jan. 2016.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (EDP)
The Br . MSME-DI, Dimapur with support from the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Entreprises (MSME), Govt of India have organized 2 (two) weeks Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) at Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, Dimapur from 21 Jan. 2016 to 04 Feb. 2016 where 23 youths had undergone the programme.

iii. CAPACITY BUILDING & TECHNICAL ASSISSTANCE UNDER MINISTRY OF DoNER, NEW DELHI
The Ministry of DoNER, Govt. of India had sponsored 200 students to undergo technical skill enhancement courses at Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, Dimapur during 2015-16 to be completed during 2016-17. So far a total of 160 students have already enrolled for undergoing the training programme.

The courses are all job-oriented in manufacturing sectors. Placement assistance shall be provided to all the candidates who had finished the course successfully.

2). LONG TERM COURSE:-
Diploma in Tool & Die Making: The Centre have been conducting 4 years Diploma in Tool & Die Making (approved by AICTE, New Delhi) course (including one year Industrial Training/OJT in reputed companies) since inception.
Diploma in Tool & Die Making (Approved by AICTE, Govt. recognized and an equivalent of Diploma in Mechanical Engg.) 4 years course (3 years at NTTC, Dimapur and 1 year Industrial Training in a reputed organization outside the State).

The Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, Dimapur with support of the government of the day endeavored the job-oriented training programme imparting Diploma in Tool & Die Making (3+1 year course) since 2007. This year 29 nos. of Diploma final year students were selected and got placement in 6 (six) companies in Pune, Maharashtra and 2 (two) in Nagaland started during the 1 week of July 2015.
