Team Gwastin and Luket emerged as the winner of Hackathon 2021 champions with their idea of “Bring a Solution” Q books. The idea was to build an app where students could buy and sell used books at a discounted rate. The profitable innovative idea would also help the world save trees as their research of 1000 students shared they have old books stored in their houses, burn them or sell them to the local shop’s kg wise.

The runners up of the event were Zeliang Codetech who also consisted of the youngest coder Zaiyigum, an 8-year-old student from Hollotolli school who teamed up with his father, an entrepreneur. MonAram, with the co-founders based in Dimapur and Singapore, landed up at 3rd place.

The judges for the final were Mr. Sridhar Mupiddi Co-founder of Yesgnome Hyderabad and Mr. K Kevichusa Commissioner Secy industries and commerce who is also the Startup Nodal officer for Nagaland. The cheque and certificates were presented by Shri. Kekhrievor Kevichusa, IoPS, Commissioner & Secretary, Industries & Commerce, in the presence of the Director, Startup team and winners on the 6th of September,2021 at the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Kohima. A total of 16 teams made it to the finals. The first edition of Hackathon was organised by StartUp Nagaland in partnership with Industries and commerce, Nagaland and Educentre School of Business.
